Naveed Hamid
Naveed Hamid is a well known business and community leader with more than twenty five years of service in New Zealand. He is a licensed Financial Advisor and the Director of Link Finance and Link Mortgages, where he supports families, new migrants and business owners with lending and financial solutions. He also holds senior roles as International Business Director of Visit2Pakistan, Chairperson of the Al Falah Educational Trust and Chairperson of the Pakistan New Zealand Business Council. In addition, he is a member of the Asian Advisory Board at the Auckland Business Chamber, where he contributes to regional business strategy and community engagement.
Tourism development has become a major part of his recent work. Through Visit2Pakistan he organised four New Zealand group tours to Pakistan in one year. These trips strengthened trust, showcased Pakistan’s hospitality and culture and helped open new economic and tourism pathways between the two countries.
His community leadership spans more than two decades. As a former President of the Pakistan Association of New Zealand he strengthened governance, advocated for migrant families and guided the community during national crises. His approach has always focused on unity, responsible leadership and long term development.
Through the Pakistan New Zealand Business Council, Naveed now works to expand trade and investment opportunities. He supports entrepreneurs, small businesses and professionals by helping them understand both markets, build networks and explore new commercial partnerships.
He also leads one of the largest community projects in Auckland. Under the Al Falah Educational Trust he has completed the construction of a three million dollar masjid and community centre in Papatoetoe. The project is now moving into its final operational stage and stands as a major achievement for the community.
With experience across finance, property, tourism and community development, Naveed continues to support families, entrepreneurs and community organisations across New Zealand. His work reflects a constant commitment to building stronger relationships and helping businesses and communities grow together.
