Professional Biography
Muhammad Junaid Atta is an Instrument and Control Systems Engineer specializing in Functional Safety across oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors. He has delivered key projects in Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East, focusing on Safety Instrumented Systems, LOPA, and SIL verification.
Junaid has worked with global engineering firms such as Beca, Worley, SGS ECL, and Farabi Petrochemicals, KBR, Fluor and JGC where he contributed to improving plant reliability, compliance, and operational safety. His approach combines technical precision with a deep understanding of IEC 61511 and ISA standards to deliver safe and efficient process automation solutions.
Beyond his professional career, Junaid actively volunteers within the Pakistani and engineering communities in New Zealand. He worked as regional relationship manager and general secretary with Pakistan Association of New Zealand.
He has contributed to events promoting professional networking, youth engagement, and cultural exchange knowledge sharing specially his video series “Pehla Qadam” very popular across social media with around 500K views where he focused on settlement of new migrants in New Zealand.
