Barrister Farrukh Gul Qaisrani

Professional Biography

Mr Farrukh Gul Qaisrani is a Senior Barrister by profession and is a 3rd generation lawyer in his family after his father & grandfather. He has legal qualifications and is admitted to practice law in three countries, including Pakistan, NZ and Supreme Court of Victoria. He has been in legal practice for more than 25 years and has worked as both prosecutor and defence attorney.  He has been a Senior Prosecutor for NZ Police, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and Ministry of Primary Industries. He has represented NZ police in both national and international events. He has been a member of the advisory board for Auckland city council and is currently an advisor to the independent Ministerial advisory group on legislative amendments. He was also among 4 finalists for the NZ lawyer of the year award in 2024. He is currently the CEO of Gul Law Ltd., a litigation law firm in Auckland specializing in criminal law. His greatest contribution to the community was his extensive involvement in the relief and legal operations after Christchurch shooting incident in 2019. He was not only a key part of the Police operations as a senior prosecutor, his involvement in relief operations was equally acknowledged.
